A Jesuit priest was the first to discover angelite in the early 1700's. Angelite is the name commonly given to a form of blue anhydrite found in Peru. It's said that angelite is celestite that has been compressed for millions of years and so is the wiser stone. An ancient Peruvian healing stone, it has been adopted as an icon of angels and sacred sound. Carrying, wearing, holding or being near an angelite stone is said to provide one with a focal point of connection for receiving love, guidance, and help.
